Sony's latest TRILUMINOS™ Display system excels at reproducing reds, greens and blues — colors that are notoriously difficult for TVs to display accurately. It also displays skin tones beautifully, thanks to its extensive color palette and precise gradation. The XBR**5X**0D gets a little brighter than last year's model, but it's not the last word in contrast or black levels, so it performs best when there's at least some room lighting. For that reason, it's a great living room TV.
